The Turner Ensemble, comprising principals from the Covent Garden Orchestra and some of the finest players in London, follow their impressive debut in the LCMS Series last year with the first of four concerts in 2010/11 as LCMS resident ensemble, and demonstrating their versatility in the Schumann-influenced trio by Wolfgang Rihm, romantic lieder and Brahms’s ever-popular Piano Quintet in G minor with its famous Hungarian-inspired finale.
