Our Season ends with the LCMS artists in Residence, the Turner Ensemble, once again presenting some of the finest musicians in London, many of them also principal players in the orchestra of the Royal Opera House: Ania Safonova (violin), Andriy Viytovych (viola), Naomi Williams (cello), Tony Hougham (bass), Nick Rodwell (clarinet), Andrea de Flammini (bassoon), Roger Montgomery (horn). Their programme includes a new work by Peter Fribbins, inspired by a William Turner painting, and culminates in Beethoven’s majestic Septet, premiered in1800 and dedicated to the Empress Maria Theresa.
