The famous Allegri Quartet – Ofer Falk, Rafael Todes (violins), Dorothea Vogel (viola), Katherine Jenkinson (cello) – in one of Haydn’s early quartets from the Op.20 set and the premiere of a new quartet by British composer Anthony Payne. They are joined by the violist Vicci Wardman for Brahms’s string quintet in G, composed in the summer of 1890 in Ischl, high in the Austrian Alps. |
