The sixth concert in our Beethoven-Shostakovich cycle presents an early Beethoven quartet with one of the last ones, composed almost twenty-five years later, interspersed with Shostakovich’s seventh quartet composed in early 1960 in memory of his first wife, Nina Vassilyevna.
