Some exceptional string soloists join the famous Chilingirian Quartet to perform the beautiful second string sextet by Brahms – written in the mid 1860s – and Romanian composer George Enescu’s magnificent string octet, composed in 1900. The London Chamber Music Society is grateful to the Romanian Cultural Institute for their generous support of this concert.
