The new professional chamber choir Sonoro has already attracted attention for its warmth of tone, rich blend of colours and vibrancy in performance. Their Kings Place debut is centred around two works for upper voices and harp, Britten’s inimitable A Ceremony of Carols and Rutter’s companion piece Dancing Day. The female voices of Sonoro complete their programme with seasonal music by Gustav Holst, Roxanna Panufnik, Brian Chapple, Cecilia McDowall, and a new commission by James McCarthy.
