Shaham-Erez-Wallfisch Piano Trio - February 19th 2012
 
Cellist Raphael Wallfisch, violinist Hagai Shaham, and pianist Arnon Erez
gave our audience a memorable rendering of Shostakovich: Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor Op.67

 
 

To end the evening, the Trio played a lovely
Mendelssohn: Piano Trio in C minor to great applause.

Allegri Quartet - Beethoven Cycle No.6 - February 12th 2012
 
Violinists Ofer Falk and Rafael Todes, violist Dorothea Vogel,
and cellist Vanessa Lucas-Smith being enthusiastically applauded by our audience
after playing a moving Shostakovich: String Quartet No.7 Op.108.

 
 

To end the evening, the Quartet played the monumental
String Quartet in A minor Op.132 by Beethoven.

To end the evening the Quartet played a wonderful
Schubert String Quartet in C minor D810
"Death and the Maiden".

The Turner Ensemble - December 18th 2011
 
Tenor Robert Anthony Gardiner, pianist Sophie Rahmann, violinist Jan Schmolck,
violist Fiona Bonds, violinist Ania Safonova and cellist Naomi Williams
gave us a spendid performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams –
On Wenlock Edge (A.E. Housman) for tenor, strings and piano (1909)
in the first half of the evening.
 
 

At the end of the evening, Brahms' Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34
was enthusiastically applauded by our audience.

Tamsin Waley-Cohen, violin, and Simon Crawford-Phillips, piano,

Sonata for violin and piano to begin or evening's programme.
 
 

James Francis Brown, composer, joins Simon Crawford-Phillips, piano,
and Gemma Rosefield, cello, on stage to congratulate them on playing
a delightful rendition of his composition 'Prospero's Isle'.

 
 
To end the evening, Gemma, Tamsin and Simon played a memorable
Dvorak: Piano Trio No.3 in F minor, Op.65

after playing Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No.6 in G, Op.102.
 
 

The Allegri Quartet ended the evening with an intense and wonderfully
played Beethoven Quartet in E flat, Op.127, enthusiastically
