A new base for chamber musicians at Kings Place. ChamberStudio offers coaching and support to aspiring up-and-coming chamber groups. It is open throughout the year, and it aims to helpfully complement the residential chamber courses and other annual events already held around Europe. Each week, eminent chamber players and teachers will provide coaching and guidance, and an opportunity to meet other like minded musicians in the wonderful setting of Kings Place.

The LCMS supports ChamberStudio.

Arcata Baroque is a chamber group, formed in 2012, which explores repertoire for soprano and bass continuo, often with the addition a treble instrument.

The ensemble, recommended on Radio 3 by Rob Cowan, has recently performed Handel’s Deutche Arien (all nine!) and a programme of Italian cantatas for soprano with two violins and bass continuo at Handel House. Future performances includes a concert series at Burgh House, Hampstead, in January and February, and a concert with violin featuring music by Pepusch, Vivaldi and Boismortier at Handel House in May.
