A new base for chamber musicians at Kings Place. ChamberStudio offers coaching and support to aspiring up-and-coming chamber groups. It is open throughout the year, and it aims to helpfully complement the residential chamber courses and other annual events already held around Europe. Each week, eminent chamber players and teachers will provide coaching and guidance, and an opportunity to meet other like minded musicians in the wonderful setting of Kings Place.

The LCMS supports ChamberStudio.

Nicola Crowe, flute
Edmund Smith, viola
Federica Mossone, harp

Programme:
Britten Elegy for Solo Viola
Debussy
Sonate for Flute, Viola and Harp

Edmund Smith, viola
Federica Mossone, harp
Nicola Crowe, flute

The Mossone Harp Trio is made up of young professionals who have recently left places of study. This marks their premiere performance in a major London Venue.

To celebrate the Britten Centenary and to link in with the performance of the String Quartet No.3, the Violist will perform Elegy for Solo Viola.

This work was written when the composer was 16, at the start of his professional life just as the third string quartet was written at the end.

The Trio will also perform the Debussy Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, a work that was, alike the third quartet, written at the end of the composers life.
