Formed in 2011, the Queen's Gate Consort is an exciting new chamber ensemble. The performers, Ruth Henning-Lincoln, Cara O'Reilly, Aled Jones and Kate Leigh are all professionally trained musicians based in London, UK and all share a love of live and engaging musical performance. From Classical to Jazz, Swing and Pop, this versatile ensemble are adept at all styles. Their flexible and unique approach to music making results in creative arrangements that will perfectly complement any occasion and setting.

Ruth Henning-Lincoln began her music career in Australia. Educated at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music between 1993 and 2007 she completed a Diploma of Music, Postgraduate in Opera Performance and a Masters in Music Studies, where she placed in the top 10% of the course. During this time she was awarded numerous scholarships, bursaries and prizes including the Wagner Award 2007 and represented in the final of the Dame Joan Sutherland competition 2006. |

Cara O’Reilly is an accomplished violinist currently living in central London. Originally from Australia, Cara studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University with Alan Smith where she received her Bachelor of Music in Performance. She also has an Associate of Music, Australia (AMusA), Diploma. |

Aled Jones is originally from Burton upon Trent and studied at the Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama being awarded with a BMus in performance in 2008. Aled then went on to continue his studies at postgraduate level at the Royal College of Music, London under Jon Thorne (badka quartet). Aled’s professional training encompassed both masterclasses and coaching sessions with such eminent players as the Chilingirian Quartet, the Eroica Quartet, Simon Rowland-Jones and Lawrence Power. |

Kate Leigh began studying the cello at the age of seven, and at the age of ten received a scholarship to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Junior Dept, where she was awarded the String Prize in her final year. She went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music under Paul Watkins and Josephine Knight, and graduated in 2004 with a first class honours degree. |
