An aristocratic feast of eighteenth century French music, presented by one of the most famous exponents of the baroque violin – Elizabeth Wallfisch – with distinguished friends on the gamba and keyboard. As well as music by French baroque masters ranging from Marin Marais to François Couperin and Jean-Marie Leclair, we also hear that master of the Prussian Court, C.P.E Bach embracing French baroque style in his own variations of the famous ‘Folia’ theme.
