The famous Chilingirian Quartet perform music they are also working on for some important new publications. Simon Rowland-Jones has been helping Peters Edition with a new edition of Haydn’s op.17 quartets, to be published in 2027. Levon Chilingirian is doing the same with Sergei Aslamazian’s arrangements of 17 folksongs collected by the Armenian composer Komitas (1869-1935), to be released in 2027 by the Armenian Institute in London. This concert presents the opportunity to hear this music for the first time in their newly edited versions.
This performance will last approximately 2 hours, including a 20 minutes interval.
A small number of tickets in the front two rows are available for £28 online or £31 at the door (£21/£23.25 for LCMS Friends).
