French violin virtuoso François Pineau-Benois is joined by prize-winning pianist Adam Szokolay, winner of the 2019 Bartók World Competition, in sonatas for violin and piano by three twentieth century masters – Ravel, Prokofiev and Bartók. They are then joined by a 21st century master, Gabriel Prokofiev and Sergei Prokofiev’s grandson, to show how the violin and piano genre can be continued and extended when live electronics join live musicians.
This performance will last approximately 2 hours, including a 20 minutes interval.
A small number of tickets in the front two rows are available for £28 online or £31 at the door (£21/£23.25 for LCMS Friends).
