About the event
Continuing their critically acclaimed Brahms recording project on the Linn label, the Greenwich Trio perform the trio in C minor, the last of his three trios. This is paired with Fanny Mendelssohn’s highly charged and turbulent trio, completed shortly before her death in 1847. Their concert ends with one of the most famous piano trios in the repertoire, Beethoven’s mighty ‘Archduke’ Trio, so called because of its dedication to his patron Archduke Rudolph of Austria.
